Fit & Sizing

Slim Fit is cut closer through the chest, waist and leg than a traditional suit, with a narrower trouser. If you prefer more room through the chest and shoulders, consider our Modern Fit range.

Jacket size is based on your chest measurement. Pants are paired using Drop 6 — the waist is always 6 inches smaller than the jacket size, so a 44 jacket comes with a 38 waist.

Jacket lengths go by height: Short fits best from about 5’4″ to 5’7″, Regular from about 5’7″ to 6’1″, and Long from about 6’1″ and above. These are general guidelines — near a boundary, choose the length that has fit you best before. Between two jacket sizes, size up; a tailor can take a jacket in far more easily than let it out.

Pants arrive unhemmed at a standard 37-inch inseam so your tailor can finish them to your exact length. The waist can typically be taken in by approximately 2 to 4 inches, or let out by approximately 2 to 3 inches.

Please try everything on before any tailoring begins — once altered, the garment cannot be returned or exchanged.

Construction

Fully lined interior. Jacket: slim fit tailored construction, two-button front, classic notch lapel, double side vents, multiple interior and exterior pockets. Pants: flat front, zip fly with extended button closure, two front side pockets, two rear besom pockets with button closure, lined to the knee. Vest: five-button front with two front pockets and an adjustable back strap. Dry clean recommended.

Shipping & Returns

Most in-stock orders ship the same business day; orders placed after carrier pickup, on weekends or holidays ship the next business day. Typical delivery is approximately 2–5 business days, with tracking emailed once your order ships. Free ground shipping on all orders over $100; orders under $100 ship for a flat $5.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused, unworn, unaltered items in original condition with tags attached. Return with your own carrier, or use our prepaid label for $10, deducted from your refund. For size exchanges, we provide the prepaid return label at no charge. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Is black too formal for a daytime wedding?
Not necessarily. A black suit can work for daytime or evening weddings. For daytime, a lighter shirt and tie can soften the look; for evening, a white shirt and darker tie create a more formal appearance.

How does Slim Fit compare with Modern Fit?
Slim Fit is cut closer through the chest, waist and leg. Modern Fit is the roomier option. Both use the same Drop 6 sizing and the same 37-inch unhemmed inseam.

Do the pants come hemmed?
No — they arrive unhemmed with a 37-inch inseam so your tailor can finish them to your preferred length.

How much can the waist be adjusted?
Typically taken in by approximately 2 to 4 inches, or let out by approximately 2 to 3 inches, depending on your tailor and the garment.

Short, Regular or Long?
